Geriatrics care is a specialized field of health care that focuses on promoting the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults. As people age, they often face unique physical, emotional, and social challenges, including chronic illnesses, mobility issues, cognitive decline, and increased vulnerability to injury. Geriatric care emphasizes comprehensive assessment, early detection of health problems, prevention of complications, and coordination of services to meet the complex needs of elderly individuals. It also involves working closely with families and caregivers to provide support, education, and resources for optimal care.
